Paul Michael Koski

HORTONVILLE, WI – Paul Michael Koski, 73, of Hortonville, WI, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday evening, November 29th, 2022, with his loving family at his side.

Paul was born November 25th, 1949, in Marquette, to Paul ‘Spruce’ and Perina (Juidici) Koski, and graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1967. He continued his education at Northern Michigan University, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and later earned his Master’s Degree in Technical Education from University of Wisconsin-Stout. Paul was a Tech Ed teacher for Menasha Joint School District for 37 years, teaching auto shop, welding, and “the facts of life,” and was also a longtime driver’s ed instructor.

Paul was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Greenville, WI and a former member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Negaunee, where he married Susan Pantti on August 3rd, 1974. He was also a life member of the Knights of Columbus. Paul loved riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles and was an avid racing fan, working as a NASCAR official for over 20 years. He also enjoyed traveling and, along with regular trips to Alabama, Florida, and Las Vegas, took recent special vacations to Alaska, Italy, and Disney World. Most of all, Paul loved spending time with friends and family, especially his grandkids and the love of his life, Susie.

Surviving are his loving wife, Susan (Pantti) Koski; his daughter, Michel (Justin) Kersten of Kaukauna, WI; his son, Paul ‘PJ’ (Ellen) Koski of Negaunee; four grandchildren: Colin Kersten and Paul, Louise and Johnny Koski; his brother, Gary (Susan) Koski of Naples, FL; several nieces and nephews and many lifelong wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and father and mother-in-law, Jack and Mary Pantti.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 PM (EST) on Monday, December 5th at St. Paul Catholic Church, Negaunee, with Rev. Larry Van Damme officiating. Burial will be in the Negaunee Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 PM until the start of Mass at 3:00 PM at the church on Monday, and also at a luncheon immediately following services in the St. Paul School Gymnasium.
