Kaye Elizabeth Dunn
ISHPEMING, MI – Kaye Elizabeth Dunn, age 78, lifelong Ishpeming resident, passed away on Friday, May 13th, 2022, at Marquette County Medical Care Facility, where she had been a resident for nearly 2 months.
Kaye was born in Ishpeming, on October 7th, 1943, daughter of the late Elizabeth Minnie (Boase) and Wesley Theodore Harris. She was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1962. Kaye had worked at the Eklund Laundry and then in the laundry department at the Mather Nursing Center prior to her retirement. Kaye enjoyed camping and boating with her husband, Rex, in her younger years.
Kaye is survived by a brother, Richard (Carol) Harris of Ishpeming; 2 nephews – Jerry (Angela) Harris of Ishpeming; Douglas Lyyski of Kenosha, WI; 8 great-nieces and nephews; 11 great- great-nieces and nephews and a great- great-great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hayden “Rex” Dunn Jr., on Jan. 14th, 2021; parents, Ted and Elizabeth Harris; in-laws, Hayden and Betty Dunn Sr.; brother, Thomas Harris; and niece, Diane Harris.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, on Wednesday, May 18tj, 2022, at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will follow the visitation at the Ishpeming Cemetery, where Kaye interment will take place.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the 500 Wing at the Marquette Co Medical Care Facility for their kind and compassionate care of Kaye.
