Carol J. Lehto

Carol was born September 8th, 1930, in Ishpeming, to Earle and Gwendolyn (Jenkins) Allen and graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1948. She married the late Carl G. Lehto, in March of 1953 and was a devoted homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, taking long walks, gardening and baking.

In her younger years, Mrs. Lehto was employed as a switchboard operator for the Bell Telephone Co. in Negaunee. She was a former member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Ishpeming.

Surviving are her son, Paul Lehto of Escanaba; grandson, Isaiah (Emily) Dorsey; great-granddaughter, Emma and her sister, Faye Mayrand of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl in 2001; son, Peter; and daughter, Bonnie.

Honoring Carol’s wishes, inurnment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens.
