Michael Francis Guizzetti

Michael was born on December 29, 1965, in Ishpeming, to Francis “Frank” and Gail (Billings) Guizzetti. He grew up in Negaunee and graduated from Negaunee High School, and then went to Northern Michigan University to study carpentry.

Michael worked for American Airlines for many years and subsequently moved to Gwinn. He was also a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

Michael faced many physical challenges during his lifetime but he was always able to maintain a witty sense of humor. He always greeted others with a warm smile. Michael enjoyed many outdoor activities, adored his dogs, Tobie and Buddy, and frequently used his personally designed blueberry-picking “sled” during blueberry season. His tenacious independence and adventurous spirit refused to see limits on what he could do in life. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Michael is survived by his mother, Gail Guizzetti of Gwinn; sister, Veneda “Neda” (Michael A.) Tasson of Roswell, GA; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis B. Guizzetti in 2008.
