WOODBURY, MN – Theresa A. Carriere, 95, of Ishpeming, passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, October 25, 2020, at St. Therese Senior Services of Woodbury in Woodbury, Minnesota.

Theresa was born on February 6, 1925, in Ishpeming, MI, to the late Frank and Teresa (Tassone) Bertucci. Everyone knew Theresa as “Tete,” a nickname that came from her oldest sister, Rosie.

Theresa was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She put family first, always, and she always had time for people and friends.

Theresa was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church for most of her 64 years of marriage.

Theresa is survived by her beloved sister, Mary Jane (Jim) Boles; sons, Fred (Jungho) Carriere and Albert (Joanne) Carriere; daughter, Judy (Robert) Matthews; grandchildren, Brett (Angela) Luoma, Dan (Theresa) Matthews, Lisa (Cyrus) Hastie, Tracy (Dan) Steffan and Kevin (Amber) Carriere; great-grandchildren, Quinn Matthews, Olivia Matthews, Devin Matthews, Jack Matthews, Shayne Steffan, Zach Steffan, AriAnna (Peter) Meyer, Owen Hastie, Izzy Hastie, Alexis Carriere, Addie Carriere and Louie Carriere; great-great- grandchildren, Matilda Meyer and Jasper Meyer.

Besides her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Carriere, Sr.; siblings, Rose (John) Armitage, Elizabeth (Carl) Bengry, Dominic (Pat) Bertucci, Francis (Anna May) Bertucci and Anthony Bertucci; great- granddaughter, Grace Matthews; and great- great-granddaughter, Alma Meyer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Rev. Ryan Ford officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the mass in the church. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brett Luoma, Dan Matthews, Quinn Matthews, Kevin Carriere, Louie Carriere and Cyrus Hastie.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required.
