ISHPEMING, MI – Ann E. Wise, age 75, of 212 Hazel St., Ishpeming passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2019 while in the loving care of her family and the Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice at her home in Ishpeming after battling ALS.

Ann was born in Ishpeming on March 1, 1944 daughter of the late Alice (Cornish) and James Moyle. She was a graduate of Ishpeming High School, class of 1962 and received her Cosmetology degree Northern Michigan University. She owned and operated Cut N Dried Beauty Shop and in her younger years worked as a seamstress at the H W Gossard Co. She married Harvey Wise on June 8, 1963 in Ishpeming.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Ishpeming where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher for several years. Ann had been active with the Junior Corps and then in the Senior Corps of the Blue Notes. Ann and her husband Harvey wintered in Port Charlotte, FL for 20 years, where she was active in the Tennis and Arts Club. Ann was also an avid Quilter and Painter.

The family camp on the Dead River Basin was a special place for get togethers that Ann cherished.

Survivors include her husband Harvey Wise of Ishpeming; 3 children – Eric (Jennifer) Wise of Pine City, MN; Gretchen (Bill) Fredy and Heather (Kevin) Swanson both of Ishpeming; three sisters – Mary (Terry) Kutchie of Ishpeming; Bobbie (Bill) Hartman of Negaunee; Susie (Gary) Anderson of Green Bay, WI; sister-in-law Diane Moyle of Little Chute, WI; 7 grandchildren – Carter, Khora, Mason, Otto, Parker, Lilly, Charlee along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers – Richard and Peter Moyle.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00-11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Ishpeming. Memorial Services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Church with the Rev. Warren Geier to officiate. A luncheon will follow the services in the church hall.
