Francis P. Andriacchi

ISHPEMING, MI – Francis P. “Frank” Andriacchi, age 91, lifelong Ishpeming resident and business owner passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at UP Health System Marquette where he had been a patient for 4 days. Frank resided at the DJ. Jacobetti Home for Veterans for the past 1 1/2 years.

Frank was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on December 18, 1927, a son of the late Catherine (Donato) and Peter Andriacchi. He graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of 1946 and attended N.M.U. Frank served his country in the U.S. Army as a Cpl in WW II. He was nominated and attended an Honor Flight to Washington D.C.

Frank worked as an electrician for M.J. Electric for 40 years, retiring as a General Foreman/Supervisor. He worked construction for 60 years and was the oldest member of the local IBEW union.

Frank and his brother Tony owned and operated the Venice Supper Club together for many years and later Frank became sole proprietor.

Frank was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, St. Rocco’s/St. Anthony Society, Ishpeming VFW, and a former member of the Ishpeming ELKs Lodge, Knights of Columbus and American Legion.

He enjoyed golfing at Wawonowin Country Club and especially enjoyed cooking, not only for his family but for others as well, as nobody left his house hungry. He and Lil spent many winters in Venice, Florida during their retirement years.

Frank is survived by his wife Lillian (Corradina) Andriacchi whom he married on May 20, 1950, 2 children: Peter (Debbie) Andriacchi of Brick, NJ and Cathy (Scott) Smith of Ishpeming, 5 grandchildren: Amy Andriacchi, Lisa (Dennis) Marion, Sara (Mitch) Brennan, Adam Andriacchi, and Alyssa Smith, 4 great grandchildren: Mason, Shae, Madeline and Ainsley, 2 sisters: Theresa (Barry) Reinhardt of Marana, AZ and Mary (John) Scheuer of Lee’s Summit, MO, a brother in law, Robert (Rita) Corradina of Ishpeming and several nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his son Dominic, his sister, Catherine Kent and his brothers: Bruno, Anthony, and Dominic Andriacchi.

Frank’s family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon on Monday May 13, 2019, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon with Fr. Ryan Ford to officiate.

A luncheon will follow at K/D Hall at St. Johns.

Pallbearers will be members of the St. Rocco’s/St. Anthony’s Society.

Military Honors will be accorded by the UP-Funeral Honor Guard.
