TUCSON, AZ – Georgia O. Fezzey, 82, of Tucson, AZ. formerly of Marquette, MI passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019.

Born to George and Olive (LaBlue) Parker on Dec. 10, 1936 in Marquette, MI. Georgia grew up in Marquette and was chosen Prom Queen and crowned to reign over the 1953 junior-senior prom with her escort Edward Fezzey. A skilled skier and skater, Georgia was crowned Marquette’s winter sports Queen and “Queen of the North” in 1954. She said she was thrilled to ride in the 4th of July parade in Ishpeming, MI.

Georgia graduated from Baraga High School and married Edward “Ted” Fezzey August 27, 1955 at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Marquette, MI. They moved to Tucson, Arizona a year later & have resided there ever since. Georgia went to college while raising her 6 children and became a Registered Nurse. She loved to sew and knit in her spare time.

Surviving are her husband Ted of 63 years, children, Diane (Marty) Wood of Phoenix, Az., Michael Fezzey, Tucson, AZ., David (Dawna White), Sacramento, CA., Paul (Lee) Fezzey, Tucson, AZ., Karen (Ernie) Levario, and Angel (Robert) Foss, all of Tucson, Az. 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grand- children. A sister; Florence “Pokie” (Tom) Olivier of Marquette, MI., 3 brothers; Duane Parker of Marquette, MI., Thomas (Vicky) Parker of Tucson, Az., and Rod (Kim) Parker of Kaukauna, WI., brother-in-law Jack Lemire of Florida, sister-in-law Dorothy “Sharon” (Donald) Bennett of Florida and sister-in-law Violet Fezzey and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding Georgia in death are her parents, brother Patrick E. Parker, sister Shirley Mae Parker, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and brother-in-law Donald Fezzey.

Services will be held at 10 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, 215 S. Craycroft Rd., Tucson, AZ on Monday May 6, 2019.
