Abbigail (Abbi) Rinaldi

MARQUETTE, MI – Abbigail (Abbi) Anna Rinaldi formerly from Marquette, MI, died tragically in Phoenix AZ at the age of 32. She was born at K.I. Sawyer AFB, MI July 25th, 1985.

After moving to Texas, Abbigail joined the U.S. Air Force in 2008. During her time in the Air Force she was stationed at several places including Lakenheath AB England, Minot AFB, ND, and Nellis AFB, NV.

She touched many lives around the world. She had many medals and awards to include Airman of the Year while stationed in England. Abbigail quickly attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. She was an honorably discharged, disabled veteran from the USAF.

Abbigail continued her education, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology earlier this year. She had a plan and worked it. She was planning to move back to Texas at the first of next year to pursue her master’s degree and to be near family in the state of Texas.

Abbi loved her miniature dachshunds she got while stationed in England. Spike and Thor were her children. Sadly Spike’s life was also taken during this ordeal. We are positive Abbi is holding Spike in her arms in heaven.

Abbi is survived by her parents Gail Rinaldi of Marquette MI and Mike and Alana Rinaldi of Killeen, TX. An older sister Bonnie (John) Tripp-Ledesma of Marquette, MI, older brother Alan (Tasha) Rinaldi of Lavergne, TN, and baby sister Alysse Rinaldi of San Antonio, TX. Maternal grandmother, Bonnie Mickiewicz of Marquette. Nieces Hannah Tripp, Aniah and Aleah Rinaldi, Jack and Ben Ledesma and Alan Rinaldi.

There will be a celebration of Abbi’s life on Saturday November 25, 2017 at the Thomas Movie Theater from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Come prepared with at least one Abbi story. Final arrangements are being held in Texas on December 1, 2017.
