Carolyn T. Jenkins
NEGAUNEE, MI – Carolyn Therese ‘Carol’ Jenkins, 74, of E. North St., Ishpeming and longtime Negaunee resident passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at UP Health System Marquette.
Carol was born October 3, 1942 in Ishpeming to Peter and Vera (Rude) Ducas and was a lifelong area resident. She worked several years as a sales clerk at Symon’s Hardware in Negaunee, and also at Pamida in Ishpeming.
Mrs. Jenkins was a former member of Mitchell United Methodist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed playing in the local pool and horseshoe leagues and knitting. Carol was a loving and devoted grandmother who took pride in raising her two grandsons.
Surviving are her 2 grandsons, Douglas Jenkins of California and James Jenkins of Green Bay; brother, Gordy (Bonnie) Ducas; sister, Linda (Mike) Haynes; brother-in-law, Al Jenkins; friend, Richard LaFlure; and numerous nieces, nephew and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald R. Jenkins, Sr. on March 22, 2000; a son, Ronald Jenkins, Jr.; brothers, Lou and James Ducas; and sister, Nancy Brooks.
Honoring Carol’s wishes, graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 28th at the Negaunee Cemetery.
