Reuben Matthew Herrmann

LaCROSSE, WI – Reuben Matthew Herrmann, 78, of La Crosse, WI and formerly of Marquette, entered eternal life on February 11th, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was the most loving man who always put others first. He enjoyed taking care of his yard, taking his dog Buddy for walks and spending time with his great-grandson Bentley. He loved his family and career as an FBI agent catching “bad guys”.

Reuben is survived by his wife Barbara Herrmann, daughter, Elizabeth (Jason) Gomoll, son, Michael Herrmann; 5 grandchildren, Ginger (Brandon) Reintjes, Zakkary DePetro and his fiance Allise Pataska, McCaylea Bell, Cali Herrmann, Kylie Herrmann; 3 great-grandchildren, Natalie, Bentley, Luna; 2 brothers, Gerald (Isabelle) Herrmann, Harvey (Lorraine) Herrmann; 1 sister-in-law, Barbara Herrmann and his best friend, Buddy the Beagle.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father Jacob and Anna Herrmann, and his brother Howard Herrmann.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 18th, 2017 at Dickinson Family Funeral Home (1425 Jackson Street, La Crosse, WI 54601) from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., military honors will be held at the funeral home at noon.
