Floyd Charles Beaudry
MARQUETTE, MI. – Floyd Charles Beaudry, age 95, of Marquette, entered eternal life Tuesday morning, December 8, 2015, at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans.
Born January 10, 1920, in Munising, a son of Thomas and Emma (Seavoy) Beaudry, Floyd was raised in Munising and attended the local schools. He enlisted in the military, serving in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, Floyd began his working career by joining the carpenter’s union in the 1950’s and was employed as a carpenter for over 50 years when he retired. Floyd was an avid fisherman, loved bowling, playing cards, especially cribbage, and enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include his wife, Ann; four children, Chuck (Cheryl) Beaudry of Fort Myers, FL, Patrick Beaudry and Pamela (Dennis) Johnson both of Stevens Point, WI, and Kris Larson of Marquette; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two half-brothers, Paul and Tom Beaudry. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at the Swanson-Lundquist Funeral Home on Saturday, December 12, beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Pastor D. Michael Carriere will officiate and veteran’s honors will be accorded by members of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 380.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Jacobetti Home for Veterans Activity Fund, 425 Fisher Street, Marquette, MI 49855.
