Lois Julia (Nault) Bosio

MERRILL, MI. – Passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 following a period of failing health.

Lois was born April 15, 1923 in Ishpeming, Michigan to the late Florian and Virginia (LaBeau) Nault. She graduated from Ishpeming High School in 1940 and then worked in Detroit for the War Department in the Army Civilian Services Forces during World War II. In 1946, she married Leo Bosio; he passed away in 1998. Lois was a devoted member of Merrill Sacred Heart Catholic Church, its Altar Society, an active participant in the church choir and quilting groups. She took great pride in her flower and vegetable gardens, feeding and watching the birds from her back yard. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, golf, reading and dabbling in ceramics. Her greatest joys were watching her grandchildren grow and attending as many of their events as possible. She hosted many family functions at her home on Parsons Street in Merrill where bocce ball, croquet and euchre games were hotly contested.

She is survived by six children, Dennis (Lucy) Bosio, Golden, CO; Kathleen (John) Hutfilz, of St. Louis, Michigan; David Bosio, of Cement City, Michigan; Michael Bosio, of Chelsea, Michigan; Randy Bosio, of Merrill, Michigan; and Thomas (Becky) Bosio, of Merrill, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Katie and Andy (Melanie) Bosio, Greg (Elizabeth) Bosio, and Anne (Andrew) Appel, Megan Hutfilz, Aaron (Katelyn) and Jenny Bosio; two great grandsons, Henry Appel and Ryan Bosio; her sister-in-law, Nancy Nault of North Lake, Michigan as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lois was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Leo; her brothers, Albert and Donald Nault; sisters Dorothy Gelmi and Marquerite DeMille and her daughter-in-law, Cynthia (David) Bosio.
