Jerry ‘Tiny’ Bell
MARQUETTE, MI. – Jerry “Tiny” Bell, age 49, of Marquette, entered eternal life on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at his home in the loving care of his family, friends and caregivers of Lake Superior Hospice.
Jerry was born on December 25, 1965 in Marquette, a son of Bill and Helen (Mongrain) Bell. He was raised in Marquette and was a graduate of Marquette Senior High School class of 1984. Following graduation from high school he went to work at Closner Construction as a laborer and later as an Operating Engineer Local 324. In his spare time he and his wife enjoyed spending time at the camp he and his friend Curt built in the Big Bay area. Jerry was an avid Packer fan and Jeff Burton fan, but most of all cherished the time spent following his son Tyler in his BMX and Hockey. Jerry will be missed and remembered most for his gentle nature and his heart of gold.
Survivors include his loving wife of 20 years, Connie; his son, Tyler; his mother, Helen Bell of Marquette; his sisters, Debbie (Larry) Langford, Cindy (Leo) Smith and Kelly (Bernie Brunelle) Kauppila, all of Marquette; his brother, Bill (Liz) Bell of Dallas, TX; his mother-in-law, Paula Lancour of Marquette; brother-in-law; Jim (Jennifer) Lancour of Columbus, OH; sisters-in-law, Vicky Lancour of Marquette and Sherry (Jim) Mattson of Sands Township; his nieces and nephews, Charlie and Melanie Bell, Cory and Ashley Mattson, Steve and Kimberly Paddock, Chris and Cody Lancour, and Katrina Judd; and other family members, Michelle “Micky” Lancour of Columbus, OH, Becky Bell-Adams of Marquette and Bill Kauppila of Marquette.
He was preceded in death by his father, his brother, Terry ‘Beaver’ Bell and sister-in-law, Vicky Bell and father-in-law, James Lancour.
Friends may call at the Swanson-Lundquist Funeral Home on Thursday, April 2, 2015, from noon until 3:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3:00 pm in the funeral home. A reception will follow at the American Legion. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery.
