MacArthur joins foundation board

Cheryl Andzejewski, president of the Community Foundation of the Upper Peninsula announced Kristen MacArthur to the community foundation’s board of trustees.

“We had a seat opening up on our board and it didn’t take long before the board members and myself realized Mrs. MacArthur was the perfect person to fill the seat,” Andzejewski said. “Kris has been serving on one of our affiliates, the Community Foundation for Delta County Board of Trustees, for about three years and has proven her core values, positive attitude and commitment to serve community. These were a few of the main reasons we knew she would be an asset to the Community Foundation of the Upper Peninsula Board as well.”

MacArthur said: “With everything I have learned about how the Community Foundation for Delta County operates, the services they offer and all of the good they do in the community, I felt honored to have been asked to serve on the Community Foundation of the Upper Peninsula Board of Trustees as well. Serving on both boards has opened my eyes to everything each foundation does and gives to the communities they serve.” She continued, “This opportunity is allowing me to follow my desire to give back and have a positive influence on those in need and the communities where I work, live and play in the Upper Peninsula.”

Born and raised in Michigan, MacArthur is a true “Yooper.” She earned a degree in nursing science, business administration, has over 20 years of management experience in health care and is the Regional Director for UP Health System. She and her husband William have two daughters, Magan and Nicole.
