IM to sell surplus items online

IRON MOUNTAIN — Several items from the city of Iron Mountain will be offered for sale on the Wisconsin Surplus online auction site. The city council this week approved City Manager Jordan Stanchina’s request to use the site to sell Christmas decorations replaced this year. There are 30 street pieces that will be sold in groups — seven groups of four and one group of two. It’s hoped the groupings will attract better prices than trying to sell the entire collection as one, Stanchina said. Dickinson OKs chief assistant prosecutor salary

IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County’s chief assistant prosecutor will be paid $90,000 annually, effective Jan. 1, up from the current $79,000. The county board approved the salary for Kristin Kass in a 3-2 vote Tuesday after about 30 minutes of discussion that included words of support from 41st Circuit Court Judge Mary Barglind. Hancock schools continue to upgrade campus security

HANCOCK — Superintendent Chris Salani updated the School Board on the progress of the Critical Incident Mapping component of the school’s security program.
