KINGSFORD — A former nurse who served in Vietnam was featured speaker for the annual Tribute to Veterans lunch Friday in the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 439 hanger at Ford Airport. Veterans were treated to a free lunch in an event that takes place on the eve of Ford Airport Day today. HANCOCK — Hancock officials recapped their accomplishments over the past year and unveiled future plans during a joint meeting Monday night. Hancock’s City Council, Planning Commission and Downtown Development Authority met at the Wiitanen Room of the HoCo Arena. One priority is filling vacant city-owned properties, including the three former Finlandia University buildings the city purchased last year.
