60 years ago MARQUETTE – Sgt. Michael Dooley today warned pedestrians, particularly students, that they are not permitted to hitchhike or walk on streets in Marquette. Dooley said the two streets on which many violations occur are N. Fourth and N. Third Sts. On several occasions this week, he stated, police were called out because students not only were hitchhiking and walking on the streets, but actually obstructing traffic. One hurt in 2-vehicle crash

HARVEY — Personnel from the Chocolay Township Police Department are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon. According to a CTPD written statement, officers were dispatched to the scene of the incident, which was the intersection of US 41 and M-28 at about 2:17 p.m. Tuesday.
