The funds will come from the $18,000 Lily Schopp Trust Fund left to the library by Ishpeming native Lily Schopp, who died in Hawaii in 1991. The competition will be held in Mt. Pleasant on April 2. Martell was the finalist in his school’s competition, then took a written test to qualify for the state finals.
