NEGAUNEE — Here is Coach C.C. Rushton’s “big three” scoring combinations to which fans look for an upset over Negaunee tonight in the district tournament. On Captain Jackson, Kesselhon and Katz largely depend the Graveraets’ chances for victory against the Miners. Captain Jackson undoubtedly is one of the flashiest, headiest and smallest forwards in Upper Peninsula high school basketball. He will be back in the game tonight after an enforced two weeks’ vacation because of a sprained ankle. He not only covers his position and gets his share of points, but he plays a strong defensive game. Kesselhon, center, is playing his first year as a regular with the Graveraets and is doing a fine job of it. From the tip-off he generally manages to put the ball in the possession of a teammate. It is also the first regular position on the cage team that Katz has had. He plays guard, but advances the ball well and plays an excellent defensive game.
