MARQUETTE – Nearly a dozen people were ticketed for possession of marijuana or alcohol during Friday’s Ratt concert, which officials said nevertheless “went well” at Lakeview Arena. Arena Manager Butch Runstrom said the rock concert went well for most of the 6,005 general admission ticketholders. “The majority of the kids that came were well-behaved,” he said. “We didn’t have any large damage down here whatsoever.” Marquette police issued four tickets for possession of marijuana at the concert, but no one was lodged in jail as of early today pending authorization of warrants, said police Capt. Orville Dishno. Seven alcohol-related tickets, such as furnishing to a minor or minor in possession, were issued in park areas outside the arena, Dishno said. Six officers were assigned to the Lakeview Arena during the concert while another seven officers patrolled parks in the area, said Dishno, who added that regular city patrols took place as well.
