Leadership changed at NMU board
MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees has elected Missie Holmquist of Marquette as chair and Brigitte LaPointe-Dunham of Baraga as vice chair.
Holmquist is president and CEO of Upper Peninsula Health Plan and has served on the board since 2022; LaPointe-Dunham is CEO of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community and joined the board in 2023. Trustees also recognized outgoing chair Steve Young for four years of leadership.
