MARQUETTE — Snowbound Books is hosting an adults-only horror/supernatural-themed pop-up at Ore Dock Brewing Company with free admission in late October. 

The pop-up will feature a book sale, games and demos from Iron Golem Games, a literary character costume contest at 6:30 p.m. and themed trivia to follow the sale at 7 p.m. 

“We’re excited to invite everyone to our ‘S’BOOKY POP-UP’ in partnership with Ore Dock Brewing Co. It’s not a full-blown book fair, but we’ll have some of our favorite horror/supernatural titles to browse,” said Snowbound Books owner Dana Welshans in a recent press release. “Iron Golem Games will be bringing spooky board games, running demos and setting up tables for card games – bring your own deck. We’ll judge a literary character costume contest at 6:30 p.m., and host themed trivia at 7 p.m. Gift cards will be awarded for first, second, and third place and for the winner of the costume contest.”

The event will also feature exclusive deals and merchandise. Snowbound Books’ spooky pop-up will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the Ore Dock Brewing Company, located at 114 W. Spring Street.
