Beekeeping club planning session
MARQUETTE — The Superior Beekeeping Club will meet from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Peter White Public Library Community Room. All are welcome. Topics will be Varroa Mite Management, Treatments and Techniques and Winterizing Your Hives.
Mite management is a key part of prepping your colonies for successful overwintering. Bees must be healthy going into the winter. Organizers will cover treatments that are appropriate for this time of year and others if time permits. They will also cover some winterizing techniques that you can use to keep your bees cozy and dry over the winter.
