NEGAUNEE – A dream to build a motel-convention center and condominiums along the shores of Teal Lake was brought to the Negaunee City Council Thursday night by Ishpeming City Manager John Korhonen. Armed with an aerial map of the southwest shore of the lake, Korhonen told the Negaunee City Council that the two cities should work together to make infrastructure improvements that would attract potential developers. Both cities have big plans for the shores of Teal Lake now that it’s no longer Negaunee’s drinking water source.
