M-95 bridge to be repaired

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing around $1.7 million to repair the M-95 bridge over the E&LS Railroad near Randville.

The repairs will extend the bridge’s lifespan, provide a smoother ride and increase safety for travelers.

Motorists should expect single-lane closures with a temporary traffic signal during construction, which begins on Tuesday.

The investment will directly and indirectly support 16 jobs according to a press release, and the work will include deck overlay, deck joint replacement, deck and substructure patching, guardrail replacement, joint waterproofing and approach work.

Construction is expected to be complete in late October of this year.

Starting at $3.23/week.
