New at Peter White Public Library

For those who may still be in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, we would like to encourage you to try a new romance! Here are a few off the new shelf at Peter White Public Library.

Next-Door Nemesis by Alexa Martin — This book is an enemies-to-lovers rom-com that will make you think about the one who got away. The story revolves around Collins and Nate, who are both running to be president of their local homeowners’ association. But Collins and Nate aren’t strangers. They were high school rivals and have a not-so-pleasant history. Will the two of them put aside their differences and change their hate into love?

Raiders of the Lost Heart by Jo Segura — Rival archaeologists must team up on a secret Aztec expedition, or it could leave their careers — and hearts — in ruins. It’s been Corrie’s life goal to lead an expedition deep into the Mexican jungle in search of the long-lost remains of her ancestor, Chimalli, an ancient warrior of the Aztec empire. But when she is invited to join an all-expenses-paid dig to do just that, Corrie is sure it’s too good to be true. But as the dig begins, it becomes clear they’ll need to work together when they realize a thief is lurking around their campsite, forcing the pair to keep their discoveries–and lingering attraction–under wraps. With money-hungry artifact smugglers, the Mexican authorities, and the lies between them closing in, there’s only one way this all ends–explosively.

Canadian Boyfriend by Jenny Holiday — Fate brings together a ballet teacher and a hockey player in this big-hearted novel about second chances and taking risks. Aurora met a Canadian hockey player when she was at the Mall of America as a teenager. He was the perfect fake “boyfriend.” He was just what she needed to cover her social awkwardness. He never had to know. It wasn’t like she was ever going to see him again. But years later, his daughter ends up taking ballet lessons from her. Does she tell him her secret?

This Spells Love by Kate Robb — A young woman tries to heal her heartbreak by casting a spell to erase her ex from her past, but she wakes up in an alternate reality where she’s lost more than she wished for in this witty, whimsical friends-to-lovers debut. When Gemma gets dumped by her longtime boyfriend, she decides to deal with it by being with her mom, aunt, and best friend. After one too many margaritas, they decide to perform a love- cleansing spell, which promises to erase Gemma’s ex from her memory. When she wakes up, she finds out that the spell worked! Will she be able to go back to her life the way it was? Or is she stuck in in a new reality?
