FLORENCE, Wis. — The Wild Rivers Quilt Guild will hold its monthly meeting ay 5:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 900 Central Ave., Florence, Wisconsin.

The evening will feature demonstrations in English Paper Piecing and Hand and Machine Sewn Applique Methods.

Kathy Friberg of Florence will give a demonstration on English Paper Piecing, which involves folding fabric around templates and hand sewing them together. She uses only Kaffe Fassett fabrics to make the quilts for very unusual purposes.

Also, Cheryl Stromberg of Crystal Falls will show her method of using the common Blanket Stitch for Raw Edge Applique with both the sewing machine and hand-sewing techniques.
