MARQUETTE –Special observances of Flag Day, which is Sunday, June 14, will be carried out here tomorrow and Sunday under auspices of Samuel Wheeler camp, United Spanish War Veterans, officers of which request that flags be displayed in front of the downtown stores on both days. It also is requested that flags be displayed in the residence districts. A group of 12 girls, who have volunteered their services, will sell lapel flags on the streets today as a “tag day” project to emphasize the Flag Day observance and to raise funds for the Spanish War Veterans’ unit here. Arrangements for the observance are in charge of William A. Lyons, commander of Samuel Wheeler camp, and Charles J. Young, chairman of the Flag Day committee.
