MARQUETTE — A featured speaker will make an appearance at the next North County Trail Association meeting for the Marquette Area Chapter.

The meeting is set for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14 in the Community Room at the Peter White Public Library.

Its featured speaker is Eric Naugle from Northern Michigan University’s School of Health & Human Performance.

Naugle will share stories about medical emergencies along the trail along with techniques for treating bleeding and other injuries. He will also offer advice on what to include in a hiking first-aid kit.

Additionally, trail crew leaders will provide updates on the state of the trail in the Marquette region. Attendees will also learn about future chapter group activities and various volunteer opportunities.

All are welcome. Membership is not required.
