MARQUETTE — A virtual Strut Your Mutt fundraiser will be held from Saturday through Sept. 19 by UPAWS. You walk anywhere or anytime you would like, according to an announcement.

“Help raise funds to help hundreds of pets this year find new loving families and homes,” organizers said in the announcement. “In the meantime, we’ll bring lots of fun — contests, games, prizes.”

Registration is $10 and that includes a free SYM 2020 bandana.

Bandana and shirt pick up will be socially distanced outside of UPAWS from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. If you cannot pick up during that time, email fundraising@upaws.org for other arrangements. The 50 preregistered participants who post a photo/video on the walk with the hashtag #sym2020upaws will be entered to win a $25 gift card.

Walkers are encouraged to set a minimum goal of raising $75. Raise $75 and receive a SYM 2020 T-shirt.

There will be daily drawings for prizes for preregistered participants who post a picture or video of their walk. All qualified participants who post will remain in week-long drawings unless they have already been selected to win on any given day. Prizes will be mailed. Be sure to tag #sym2020upaws.

The top fundraiser will be awarded a free Paws Park yearly dog park pass and a dog-themed gift package or an e-gift card of similar value.
