Food Pantry Open Thursday

ISHPEMING – Hope Free Lutheran Church in west Ishpeming will be operating its food pantry from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday. Attendees are asked to drive up to the front doors, as someone will bring the groceries out to the car. Organizers say they will only ask for the names of attendees and no other information is required. Anyone with questions can contact the church office at 906-485-5714. The pantry is the church’s way help during the COVID-19 crisis.

Free concert in L’anse

L’ANSE — A free L’Anse Lakefront Concert featuring Courtney Clisch and Anne Linja with a “potpourri of delightful music, from rock and roll to opera” will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, according to an announcement from organizers. The park is at the foot of Broad Street at the lake.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and masks and social distancing are strongly recommended.

Meadowbrook Arena will the be alternate location in case of inclement weather.
