MARQUETTE — The Board of Zoning Appeals virtual meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday via Zoom video conferencing and the meeting will be streamed on the City of Marquette YouTube channel.

The public will have three opportunities to speak through video conferencing, phone conferencing or written comment during the three periods of public comment: one at the beginning, one during the variance request and one at the end. Comments are limited to three minutes and speakers must state their name and address. Written comments must be submitted by 6 p.m. Thursday by emailing alanders@marquettemi.gov.

The video and phone conference lobby will open at 6:50 p.m. and participants will be placed into that virtual lobby/on-hold until the public comment periods are reached. Once public comment starts, the chair will go through each person in the lobby one at a time and allow them a chance to address the board. City officials advise participants to follow the meeting on YouTube to know when public comment is happening.
