Election, voting forum Feb. 13
MARQUETTE — An election and voter information forum will be held in February by the Marquette City Clerk’s Office and the Marquette Senior Center in anticipation of the upcoming presidential primary election, according to a city announcement.
The event will take place on Feb. 13 in room B of the Marquette Senior Center, which can be accessed via the Spring Street entrance to Marquette City Hall.
Staff will be on-hand to assist with voter registration from 9 a.m. to noon.
Attendees will also be able to receive and vote absentee ballots for the March 10 primary election and can request being added to the city’s permanent absentee voter list, according to organizers.
The forum is “also intended to provide an informal opportunity for residents to ask questions about the election process, or to gain a better understanding of the 2020 election cycle, which will include elections in March, August and November,” officials said in a press release.
