Participating artists had the choice of painting any scene within the city of Marquette. Paintings had to be created outdoors, on-site and had to illustrate or be inspired by real-life scenes of the area. The festivities concluded with a reception and art showing at the Presque Isle Pavilion Saturday evening. Over $2,500 in cash prizes were awarded.
