MARQUETTE — One person sustained minor injuries and was taken to UP Health System-Marquette after a single-vehicle crash occurred around 2:20 p.m. Sunday in Skandia Township, according to the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle, driven by Jacob Lawrence Tarvis of Calumet, left the roadway and overturned on U.S. 41 near Carlshend Road in Skandia Township. Tarvis incurred minor injuries and was taken to UPHS – Marquette for evaluation, police said.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Skandia Township Fire and EMS and UPHS EMS, according to police.
