Pathways board applicants sought

MARQUETTE — The Marquette County Board is encouraging interested and qualified individuals to apply for available positions on the board overseeing Pathways Community Mental Health.

An application must be filed by March 2 with the Marquette County Clerk’s Office to be eligible for any of the three open seats.

One vacancy is for an unexpired term ending March 31, 2020. Two other vacant seats have terms expiring March 31, 2021.

The 12-member Pathways board — which governs the operations of the mental health program in Alger, Delta, Luce and Marquette counties — includes people working directly in or in positions involved with mental health services and the general public. Six members of the board are to be public officials, defined as someone who works 20 hours or more per week for federal, state or local government.

Six appointments are made by the Marquette County Board, four by the Delta County Board, and one each by the boards of Alger and Luce counties.

Application forms are available at the Marquette County Clerk’s Office, 234 W. Baraga Ave. in Marquette, or online at www.co.marquette.mi.us.

Appointments will be made by the county board at its meeting March 20.
