Chocolay Township seeks public assistance in identifying snowmobiler

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP — The Chocolay Township Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the snowmobiler in photos taken at Lakenenland around Feb. 22. They request that people call or email with any information at 906-249-4040 or police@chocolay.gov.

On Feb. 5, Tom Lakenen announced in a public Facebook post that “due to vandalism at Lakenenland yesterday … the park is closed to snowmobilers effective immediately.” Barricades were put up at the park’s entrance reading “No sleds” and “walk only.”
