MARQUETTE– For more than a decade, the Zonta Club’s Evergreen award has been a staple in recognizing individuals who assist and mentor women, demonstrate excellence and provide exceptional volunteer service.
This year, the prestigious honor has gone to Pam Christensen and was awarded on Monday.
“Congratulations to our own Pam Christensen as the 2025 recipient of the Evergreen Award. This award honors extraordinary women/individuals in our community,” said the Marquette Harbor Rotary in a public release. “Pam was selected based on her many contributions to the Marquette community. She assisted and mentored women and girls in reaching their leadership potential. She demonstrated excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business, profession, and or volunteerism. She provided exceptional service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community.”
Award recipients must meet each of three specific criteria: assist and/or mentor women and girls in reaching their leadership potential; demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business, profession and/or volunteerism; and provide exceptional service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community.
“Pam stands as part of a long line of extraordinary women in our community,” said the Marquette Harbor Rotary. “Congratulations from our club to you, Pam, on your well deserved recognition! We are so proud of you and so happy to see you receive this award today.”
