Marquette Board of Light and Power sees power outage, nearly 3,000 affected
MARQUETTE– The Marquette Board of Light and Power had 2,839 customers lose power Thursday morning. It was unclear what caused the outage.
“It does look like we have an outage, just under 3,000 people are affected,” said a service representative from the Marquette Board of Light and Power. “Crews have been sent to investigate and restore power.”
Around 16% of MBLP’s customers were without power. This is the second time in two months the electric utility company has seen a power outage. The last being on Sept. 15, which saw 2,236 people without power.
