MARQUETTE – Today at Jon’s Auto in Marquette, the Marquette Superiors Cheer Team will host a fundraiser with a unique spin, a car wash done by the cheerleader’s parents.

“(Today) from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m. at Jon’s Auto our parents will be washing cars to help raise money for our nationals trip,” said cheerleader Isabelle Moebius. “It costs a lot of money to travel to our nationals competitions so we are looking to raise as much money as possible to help cover the costs.”

There is no set amount for the cost of the car wash as it is donation based.

“The car wash is just donations so anything is appreciated,” Moebius said.

Last year, the Marquette Superiors Cheer Team competed on the national stage in Lexington, Kentucky, with its division three team, taking home the national title as its division four team won third place. This year the team hopes for even better, but that all depends if they can raise enough money.
