BIG BAY — STAR Children’s Bereavement Services will once again host Camp STAR this summer from Aug. 8-10 at Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay.
The camp is a free weekend grief camp for Michigan residents ages 8-17 who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life.
“Camp STAR provides a supportive and fun space to share together and remember,” said Ashley Hernandez, program manager for UP Camp STAR. “There are traditional camp activities like hiking, bonfire and s’mores, outdoor games, a frog pond and so much more. Within all the fun there are carefully selected activities that provide grief support and ways to honor and remember those that have died.”
Registration for the camp is open, and they are also seeking volunteers. Those interested can apply at www.starcbs.org
