MARQUETTE — No one was hurt or injured as crews responded to a house fire on Monday afternoon.

The flames took over a duplex at 107 and 109 East Kaye Avenue, and no injuries were reported. Crews were actively working to fight the fire and flames were no longer visible around 4:15 p.m.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Marquette City Fire Department, Marquette Township Fire Department, Chocolay Township Fire Department, Marquette City Police, and Upper Peninsula Health Systems – Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene.
