Harry Nordstrom Jr.

MARQUETTE, MI-Harry A. Nordstrom Jr., 81, of Little Lake, passed away Tuesday evening, April 29, 2025, at Trillium House in Marquette while under the care of Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice.
He was born December 16, 1943, in Escanaba, a son of Harry A. and Melvina (Schultz) Nordstrom. At the age of 9 his family moved to Flint and he was a 1962 graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic School.
Harry enlisted in the US Army and served four years in Germany.
He was employed for many years with General Motors at their Buick plant. Following his retirement, he relocated to Little Lake.
Harry was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He was also a member of the Gladstone Legion Post 71. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting.
Harry is survived by his significant other, Robyn Godfrey; and her children & grandchildren, Kory (Katey) DeCremer and their children, Devon, Taylor and Cooper; Shannon (Travis) Shavlik and their children, Brynlee & Myles; Billie Jo Harding; Joseph Godfrey; Jacob (Hailey) Godfrey and their children, Kinsley & Addison; Jesse (Kyla) Godfrey and their children, Emery and Colter; nephew, Daniel (Judith) LaCrosse.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tom Nordstrom; and a sister, Sally LaCrosse.
Harry’s family would like to thank the staff of Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice and his favorite RN, Jamie Simms and her dog, Coty and the staff of Trillium House.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 3 to 4 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 4 pm with Rev. Sebastian Oppong officiating. A luncheon will follow the Mass in the church hall. Military Honors will be accorded.
