Bohnak takes 109th District state House seat
MARQUETTE — Republican candidate Karl Bohnak of Marquette has secured a two-year term as the 109th District representative in the state legislature in Tuesday’s election.
All results are, as of yet, unofficial.
As of 11 a.m. Wednesday, Bohnak received 26,189 votes compared to Democratic incumbent Jenn Hill, who received 24,847 votes. Percentage-wise, Bohnak received 51.31% of the votes compared to Hill’s 48.69%.
In Marquette County, Hill received 20,161 votes and Bohnak received 17,488 votes.
Neither Bohnak, who became well known in the area and the region as a television weatherman, nor Hill, could be reached for comment Wednesday.
