The coffin-sized time capsule contents were unveiled by Marquette Mayor Sally Davis and other dignitaries on July 4 immediately following the parade. Pictured are some of the recovered items: the concrete cap, two kindergartner books, a Shopko circular and a packing video tape. All the time capsule contents are on display at the Marquette Regional History Center until Friday, July 19. Public Works employees said the capsule weighed between 800-900 pounds.
