Blueberry Festival set for July 25

By JUSTIN MARIETTI 1 min read

MARQUETTE -- The 2025 Blueberry Festival is set for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 25 at West Washington Street and South Front Street in Marquette.

Michael Bradford, business outreach and promotions director for the Marquette Downtown Development Authority, said that the street closure will expand towards Baraga Avenue.

"This is due to recent years seeing growing numbers," he said. "(It will also) give us more of a footprint to include more vendors into the festival."

Bradford said there will be over 120 vendors and 10 musicians throughout the grounds and day, "providing a lovely atmosphere in the core of downtown."

"We do recommend that people leave their dogs at home as the ground can be very hot and rough on dogs' paws," he added.

Bradford said this festival "really does throw you into the local culture and atmosphere through local food and merch vendors while also providing the local music."

"Most attendees are locals and so it gives you a good opportunity to get thrown into the local culture," he said. "All within the largest downtown in the U.P. and (a) stone's throw away from the many shops, restaurants and hiking spots that make this community truly unique."
