Mackinac County man charged with murder

ST. IGNACE — On Wednesday Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched to a residence in Hudson Township in Mackinac County for a reported medical issue with CPR in progress.
Officials said when troopers arrived at the home, they found a 31-year-old female resident dead.
Further investigation led to the arrest of the woman’s 31-year-old husband.
Detectives at the state police post in St. Ignace are continuing investigations. No further details are being released at this time.
Cody Carlson, 31, of Hudson Township was arrested and taken into custody. He was arraigned in the 92nd District Court on Thursday on one count of second degree murder in the death of his wife.
Bond was denied.
Carlson was being housed in the Mackinac County Jail.
