MARQUETTE — Gas prices have risen again while supply gets tighter.

The oil exporting bloc OPEC extended its agreement to reduce production by 2.2 million barrels a day into the second quarter of 2024.

According to AAA, regular gas is up 60 cents. The national average as of Monday was $3.634 per gallon, while the Michigan average was $3.687. In Marquette, the price per gallon stands at $3.842 — up from $3.630 just a week ago.

A price check on the Gas Buddy app Monday showed a 29-cent spread in Marquette-area prices at the pump, from a high of $3.88 in downtown Marquette to a low of $3.59 in Negaunee.
