MARQUETTE — A Skandia woman who had become lost in an area near Beckman Road has been found.

Marquette County Central Dispatch contacted Marquette County Search and Rescue at 9:40 a.m. Monday to assist Gina Wilson, 52, after she left her deer blind to track a wounded deer and became disoriented and lost her sense of direction, a MCSO release states.

Upon Wilson dialing 911, MCCD was able to gather the coordinates from her cellular phone and pass them on to the search team.

Wilson was located by search and rescue members and she was assisted out of the woods without incident.
